Making homemade chili is a great way to enjoy a delicious, hearty meal. Here's a simple recipe to get you started:

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons of olive oil 


- 1 large onion, diced 


- 2 cloves of garlic, minced


- 2 pounds of ground beef


- 2 (15-ounce) cans of diced tomatoes


- 2 (15-ounce) cans of kidney beans, drained and rinsed


- 2 tablespoons of chili powder


- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin


- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano 


- 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika 


- salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  • Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the ground beef and cook until it is browned, about 8 minutes.
  • Add the tomatoes, beans, chili powder, cumin, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  • Reduce the heat to low and simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
