Papaya and Chamomile Herbal Tea

loose leaf tea for steeping

Ingredients: Papaya leaf, chamomile and cramp bark.

Why it works:

1. Papaya - Dysmenorrhea or Menstrual cramping, occurs because of the excessive amount of prostaglandins in the blood. Papaya leaf extract is considered to be able to reduce prostaglandin and menstrual pain.

2. Cramp bark- The bark and root bark of the cramp bark plant are used to make medicine. As the name suggests, cramp bark is used for relieving cramps, including muscle spasms, menstrual cramps, and cramps during pregnancy. Cramp bark is also used as a kidney stimulant for urinary conditions that involve pain or spasms.

3. Chamomile is a soothing herb that has been used for hundreds of years to calm stomach aches. It has anti-inflammatory properties and can promote muscle relaxation, which can be helpful for stomach pain caused by tension, cramping, or other digestive discomfort.

Keep in a tightly-sealed container in a cool, dark cabinet.

Directions: Add 1-2 tsp to loose leaf tea infuser, pack infuser until full. Steep into boiling hot water for 5-10 minutes or longer to reap health benefits.
